When Did Creativity Become Such A Huge Part of My Life

My passion for art grew from a very young age when I would sit for hours with my Grandad, who would put the pencils/ paintbrushes and even calligraphy tools in my hand; teaching me of his own creative skills.
Drawing nature and colour from my imagination/ family photographs and library books I wished to draw more from real life situations, I dreamed to see the world and draw the beautiful creatures which I may come across.

Artist Statement

Combining physical artwork and poetry, SeeS attempts to imitate senses of an experience through various mediums; attempting to hold an elusively theoretical conversation with the audience. A form of interaction where the interact is the audiences’ emotional understanding of being vulnerable towards the artwork placing them in time with the artist, being present. Causing a reaction of questions and discussion.

In search of knowledge and experience SeeS aims for her artwork to succeed in delivering the issue/ meaning behind it; by raising awareness within society with intentions of helping others and contributing to making a change. She devotes time into finding ways to do so, such as attending social city council meetings and protests; speaking amongst communities/ individuals affected. SeeS will approach particular matters with suitable sensitivity, in order to be respectful. Consciously responding to factual research whilst simultaneously keeping her artwork relevantly serious as well as he maintaining her subtle humour. More often than not, SeeS concentrates around the social issues with the intent of creating a voice for people who may not have the opportunity to be heard. Recently she has been determined to understand her personal mental health struggles as is curious to

examine how an individual problem can be effective amongst population in highlighting it publicly where others may be able to relate and seek help or guidance because of. An exploration of an individual issue which have prevailed the persons’ journey to their current situation resulting in being categorised as a percentage within their community.

On the contrary SeeS is enthused by unexpected organic set ups through daily life that appear so obscure they could be staged. Using mainly film camera or pencil and paper, SeeS will momentarily transform the present time to be paused. This unique Thing, through her desired process, will she reshape and design into an authentic artwork incorporating physical and language form. Her fascination of how words can stimulate your brain to associate with a restored memory, past time, envisioning a catalogued image/ clip. Vice versa how image can similarly prompt memory to restore words you once heard; a subconscious imitation.

Theoretically SeeS' artwork is intended for a diverse audience. Ranged opinions and questions she values, hoping to gain a newfound understanding to incorporate through developing her artwork further.

With aspirations of life on the international road, SeeS is an adaptable creative who accumulates objects daily. Whilst embodying these objects into her artwork she will reserve some if she foresees them enhancing future artwork.

SeeS’ life-long appreciation for art has invariably retained her continuously evolving love for painting. Persistently trying to advance the skills she holds SeeS challenges herself to expand her techniques and use of untraditional mediums. Considering her expertise in general, she finds most fondness in painting with oil paints and watercolour. SeeS channels life through her paintings as of her curiosity to use unconventional mediums, for instance: cigarette ash; wasted coffee; beetroot juice; lipstick; peanut butter; toothpaste and many more. Painting is her skill, Visual Language her practise.
